Jurassic ostracoda from the Banni Well no. 2, Kutch, India

  • Core material from the Banni Deep Well no. 2 in Kutch has yielded a fauna of 34 ostracods of which 19 species are new or re-named and 15 left under open nomenclature. From this, five successive faunas can be recognised belonging to the lower Upper Jurassic. The environment was generally shallow marine. Cuttings samples material investigated by other authors are incorporated in this study and add a number of additional taxa.
