El presente trabajo tiene por objeto definir el concepto de ciberterrorismo. Con dicha finalidad, la primera parte del artículo analiza la noción de terrorismo, género al que pertenece la especie «ciberterrorismo». La segunda parte del trabajo, en cambio, se dedica fundamentalmente a delimitar el término ciberterrorismo y a plantear los desafíos que éste supone en un mundo global y tecnológicamente interconectado.

The aim of this article is to define cyberterrorism. With that in mind, the first part of this article analyzes the notion of terrorism, a broad category to which the species “cyberterrorism” belongs. The second part of this article is about determining the scope of the term cyberterrorism, and presenting the challenges that this creates in a global and technologically interconnected world.KEYWORDS Terrorism, cybercrime, computer sabotage, critical infrastructures, terrorist.
