Resumen de Tendencia de la sequia meteorológica en el municipio Venezuela

  La investigación se desarrolló en el municipio de Venezuela de la provincia de Ciego deÁvila en el periodo comprendido entre los años 2011 y 2020 con el objetivo de determinarla tendencia de la sequía meteorológica a partir de la caracterización de los meses según la probabilidad de la precipitación y la determinación de la magnitud, duración,intensidad e Índice Porcentaje de Precipitación Normal. Los resultados demostraronque el 50 % de los meses fueron normales, mayo un mes muy húmedo y febrero muyseco. La magnitud de la sequía fue superior a 124 mm en el 70 % de los meses y laduración promedio fue de cuatro meses. La magnitud de la sequía mostró un incrementocon pendiente positiva de 8,2; mientras que la duración prácticamente no experimentócambios pues la pendiente es prácticamente nula (0,007). En los últimos 10 años, ocurrióun total de 32 eventos de sequía meteorológica (27 %) lo que representa un promedio de 3,2 sequias por meses. La sequía Severa y Extrema tuvieron una incidencia del16 %.

  The research was carried out in the municipality of Venezuela in the province of Ciego de Ávila in the period between 2011 and 2020 with the objective of determining the trendof meteorological drought based on the characterization of the months according to theprobability of drought, precipitation and the determination of the magnitude, duration,intensity and Percentage of Normal Precipitation Index. The results showed that 50 % ofthe months were normal, May a very wet month and February very dry. The magnitude of the drought was greater than 124 mm in 70 % of the months and the average durationwas four months. The magnitude of the drought showed an increase with a positives lope of 8.2; while the duration practically did not experience changes since the slope is practically null (0.007). In the last 10 years, a total of 32 meteorological drought events occurred (27 %), which represents an average of 3.2 droughts per month. Severe and Extreme drought had an incidence of 16 %.
