Resumen de Patrimonio cultural y nuevas tecnologías: visita inmersiva en La Estancia La Candelaria

  El uso de las nuevas tecnologías aplicadas al patrimonio cultural durante las últimas décadas ha favorecido la preservación de sitios y objetos patrimoniales (ante el deterioro por el paso del tiempo o ante su destrucción) y ha ampliado su difusión permitiendo el acceso y el disfrute a nuevos públicos. La Universidad Provincial de Córdoba (UPC) participa del proyecto University and Media Technology for Cultural Heritage (UMETECH), iniciativa de cooperación regional (Córdoba y Misiones) y transregional (Argentina, Perú y Paraguay), cofinanciado por el Programa Erasmus +, que promueve, con el apoyo de universidades europeas (Italia, Francia y Rumania) la creación de una red de Centros de Competencia en Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación aplicadas al Patrimonio Cultural Jesuítico. El proyecto propone que las universidades latinoamericanas sean instrumentos de desarrollo social y económico en el sector del patrimonio cultural llevando adelante iniciativas innovadoras que contribuyan a la preservación, la conservación y el disfrute del legado jesuítico, declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad. En el caso de la UPC, UMETECH posibilitó el desarrollo de nuevas competencias y habilidades técnicas en modelado y escaneado tridimensional (3D), y fotogrametría. Fue así que el Centro de Competencias de Córdoba inició su proyecto piloto (que finaliza en octubre) a través del modelado en 3D de la Estancia La Candelaria para permitir una visita inmersiva al sitio, a través de la web. A fin de llevar a cabo este plan piloto la UPC llevó a cabo alianzas estratégicas con universidades locales (Universidad Católica de Córdoba y Universidad Nacional de Córdoba) y agencias gubernamentales (Turismo, Cultura) y de investigación científica (IDACOR-CONICET), quienes designaron personal que se integró al equipo de trabajo.El entretejido de actores locales y el potencial de trabajo en red a nivel regional y transregional favorece la sustentabilidad de este espacio especializado en modelado en 3D que proyecta acciones y propuestas académicas y científicas con impacto en la comunidad, en consonancia con los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible 2030 de la Unesco.

  The use of new technologies around cultural heritage has increased significantly during the last decades; this has favoured the access and enjoyment of patrimonial sites and objects as well as the transfer of knowledge to a general public. Co-funded by the Erasmus + Program, the Provincial University of Córdoba participates in the University and Media Technology for Cultural Heritage project (UMETECH), a regional (Misiones) and transregional cooperation initiative (Peru, Paraguay) that seeks the implementation of a network of Competence in Information and Communication Technologies applied to cultural heritage, with the support of European universities (Italy, France, Romania). The purpose of these centers is to strengthen Latin American universities as instruments of social and economic development in the cultural heritage sector, through innovative projects that contribute to the preservation, conservation and enjoyment of the Jesuit legacy, declared in the case of Córdoba heritage of humanity in the year 2000. UMETECH enabled the development of new skills and technical skills in 3D modeling, laser scanning and photogrammetry at the Competence Center of Córdoba. The pilot project proposed by this Center, which will end in October, consisted of the 3D modeling of La Candelaria Ranch to allow an immersive visit to the site, through the web. The strategic alliances with local universities (Universidad Católica de Córdoba and Universidad Nacional de Córdoba) and government agencies of tourism, culture and scientific research (CONICET), which were integrated into the work team, were key to its realization. The interweaving of local actors and the potential for networking at the regional and transregional level favor the sustainability of this space specialized in 3D modeling and the projection of academic and scientific actions and projects with impact on the community, in line with the objectives of sustainable development 2030.
