    El  presente  artículo  expone los criterios judiciales mexicanos y de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos, referentes a los parámetros del derecho a la protección de la salud del ámbito constitucional y convencional, la importancia de éste para el desarrollo humano, frente algunos datos capitales del escenario a salvaguardar, el cual representa un abismo entre lo que se dice que se pretende y la realidad, esencialmente por la pobreza y la desigualdad social que impera en Latinoamérica y específicamente en México.

    This article exposes the Mexican judicial criteria and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, regarding the parameters of the right to health protection of the constitutional and conventional scope, the importance of this for human development, in front of some capital data of the scenario to safeguard, which represents an abyss between what is said to be intended and reality, essentially due to the poverty and social inequality that prevails in Latin America and specifically in Mexico.
