    La novela Los cristales de la sal (2019), de Cristina Bendek, parte del tema del exilio, reiterado en la narrativa del Caribe como región más allá de la nación. En ella se proponen dos viajes hacia la isla de San Andrés, en Colombia:  uno simbólico hacia la historia familiar y la historia colectiva y otro geográfico para superar el autoexilio de la protagonista y construir una identidad que supere las tensiones de alteridades incomprendidas.

    The novel Salt Crystals (2019), by Cristina Bendek, starts from the theme of exile, reiterated in the narrative of the Caribbean as a region beyond the nation. In it, two trips to the island of San Andrés, in Colombia, are proposed: a physical, geographical one, to overcome the self-exile of the protagonist, and a symbolic one, towards family history and collective history to build an identity that overcomes tensions of misunderstood alterities.
