  • Mass media do not possess the legal grounds to report before a jury any human right violations in armed conflicts, but their publications help with the legal investigation of the location of responsibilities as well as with the healing of victims. However, freedom of expression, including the right to freely produce and receive news and opinions, is not guaranteed within the context of armed conflicts. The applicable law on war times deliberately excludes it, right when free and plural information become as necessary as ever.
