  Henry Gray (1827-1861) fue un anatomista y cirujano inglés del Hospital Saint George, en Londres, Inglaterra. Gray es notable por la publicación de su tratado de anatomía descriptiva y quirúrgica. Este texto fue creado en colaboración con Henry Carter, quien contribuyó con las disecciones anatómicas y realizó las ilustraciones de este libro. La Anatomía de Grayes una obra ilustrada que continúa siendo considerada como un libro de texto autorizado en el campo de la anatomía humana, el cual ha instruidoa muchos estudiantes de medicina durante más de 160 años. La carrera de Henry Gray se desarrolló en el Hospital de Saint George, desde estudiante de medicina hasta aprofesor de anatomía y curador del museo de este hospital. Además, fue miembro de la Sociedad Real y del Colegio Real de Cirujanos.El objetivo de este trabajo es realizar una revisiónsistemáticade las contribuciones de Henry Gray en el campo de la anatomía humana.

  Henry Gray (1827-1861),was ananatomist and surgeon at Saint George's Hospital in London, England. Gray is notable for the publication of his treatise on Anatomy, Descriptive and Surgical. This text was created in collaboration with Henry Carter, who collaborated with the anatomical dissections and also produced theillustrations in this book. Gray's Anatomy is a precisely illustrated work, which continues to be highly regarded as an authoritative textbook in the field of human anatomy, which has influenced and instructed many medical students for over 160 years. Henry Gray's career was spent at Saint Georges Hospital, from medical student to become professor of anatomy and curator of the hospital's museum. He was a member of the Royal Society and the Royal College of Surgeons. The aim of this paper is to provide a systematic review of Henry Gray's contributions to the field of human anatomy
