    En Yucatán se estableció un estanco de aguardiente para apoyar el sostenimiento de los cuerpos militares. Se autorizó la destilación en toda la provincia, cuyo producto fue comercializado a través de puntos de venta distribuidos a lo largo de su territorio. El objetivo del trabajo es, por un lado, presentar una primera reconstrucción de su organización y, por otro, analizar el debate que se generó entre la administración del estanco y los cabildos de Yucatán por demostrar la pertinencia del establecimiento o su abolición. Los argumentos expuestos permiten identificar posturas y tensiones en torno a la reorganización de los intereses político-económicos a partir de la implementación del reformismo borbónico.

    In Yucatan, a cane spirit monopoly was established to support the maintenance of the military corps. Distillation was authorized throughout the province, the product of which was marketed through points of sale distributed throughout its territory. The objective of the work is, on the one hand, to present a first reconstruction of its organization, and on the other, to analyze the debate that was generated between the administration of the monopoly and the councils of Yucatan, to demonstrate the relevance of the establishment or its abolition. The arguments presented allow us to identify positions and tensions around the reorganization of political-economic interests based on the implementation of Bourbon reformism.
