Mably (1709-1785) worked out a method adjusted to the study of conflicting aspects of the social events and history in general. In his treatise, written in 1785 but only published in March 1789 «post mortem», he bequeated to the 1789 revolutionaries some reliable elements to a theory of Revolution. The concept of social justice plays a major role on the whole of his doctrine. The researches showed tha, in theory, Mably's concept of «primitive justice» is a «hybrid» result of two aims: social utopia (economic equality) and natural law (political freedom). It was means of ideas such as the «primitive justice» that a «fair» (equalitarian) solution for the agrarian matter was supported during the French Revolution.
