In this paper we reflect on one of the most important works of the theologian Wolfhart Pannenberg: Theology and the philosophy of science (1981), which seeks to demonstrate that theology has the characteristics and scope of a science like any other. The mood of this work is epistemological, seeking to refute the criticisms of logical positivism as well as those of fideism that we find in Karl Barth and all the followers of “Dialectical Theology”. What are the results, how far can their ideas go, and what are the walls against which the Pannenbergian proposal collides? We will try to go beyond them and update them to our present situation, in order to visualize a more fruitful relationship between Theology and Science in our secularized and technified society
