This article aims to record the history of the migratory experiences of Syrian-Lebanese women in the north of Chubut and in the south of Río Negro, during the first half of the 20th century. Despite the fact that there is important research on the Arab migratory process in Patagonia, most of these antecedents have focused on reconstructing the trajectories of men. It is argued that although Syrian-Lebanese women had low visibility in the archives, they were keys to the migratory success of the group of their compatriots. Although during the study period these women were subjugated by an eminently patriarchal order, they gradually obtained greater margins of autonomy
