    En este artículo se abordará cómo la Marina de guerra alemana participó en la evacuación de miles de extranjeros que buscaban salir de España una vez comenzó la guerra civil. Con base en la documentación primaria alemana, se analizará el despliegue de las fuerzas navales germanas para tratar de entender su modus operandi, poniéndolo en contexto mediante la comparación de sus actividades con las evacuaciones llevadas a cabo por otras marinas en este mismo espacio. Así se mostrará cómo durante el desarrollo de sus operaciones, la Marina alemana favoreció al bando sublevado, tanto por su política de evacuación como por las actividades paralelas que desempeñó durante los primeros meses de la guerra civil.

    This article addresses how the German Navy participated in the evacuation of thousands of foreigners seeking to leave Spain once the civil war began. Based on the German primary sources, the deployment of the German naval forces will be analyzed, to try to understand their modus operandi, putting it in context by comparing their activities with the evacuations carried out by other navies that operated in this same space. This will show how during its operations, the German Navy favored the rebel forces, both for its evacuation policy as for the parallel activities the it carried out during the first months of the war.
