Resumen de En busca del diario perdido: El (Bi) semanario "El Cruzado Español" en la reconstrucción propagandística y organizativa del carlismo (1929-1932)

La historia de El Cruzado Español no resulta bien conocida ya que ha trascendido la implicación de su grupo propietario en la búsqueda de un sucesor al pretendiente carlista durante la II República, Alfonso Carlos I. Sin embargo, el propósito de su existencia no fue otro que el de servir como plataforma para la refundación del extinto diario El Correo Español. La formación de una nueva amalgama contrarrevolucionaria entre 1931 y 1932 desarticuló por completo las ansias del grupo de los jaimistas ortodoxos que controlaban el semanario, al recuperarse al diario integrista El Siglo Futuro como órgano oficioso de la Comunión Carlista Tradicionalista. Este artículo persigue caracterizar los primeros años de andadura de esta publicación semanal y posteriormente bisemanal. Igualmente se indaga en los proyectos de recuperación de El Correo Español, su papel en la reorganización política del carlismo y las principales polémicas que significaron su expulsión de la Comunión.

The history of El Cruzado Español is not well known since it has transcended the involvement of its owner group in the search for a successor to the Carlist pretender during the Second Republic, Alfonso Carlos I. However, the purpose of its existence was none other than that of serving as a platform for the re-founding of the defunct newspaper El Correo Español. The formation of a new counterrevolutionary amalgam between 1931 and 1932 completely dismantled the anxieties of the group of orthodox Jaimists who controlled the weekly, by recovering the fundamentalist newspaper El Siglo Futuro as an unofficial organ of the Traditionalist Carlist Communion. This article seeks to characterize the first years of this weekly and later biweekly publication. It also investigates the recovery projects of El Correo Español, its role in the political reorganization of Carlism and the main controversies that caused its expulsion from the Communion.
