Resumen de Stratigraphical distribution of Laffitteina Bibensis biozone in the Haymana basin (Central Anatolia- Turkey)
The age-span of Laffitteina bibensis Marie is accepted as Mountain by various studies in Europe and specially in Anatolia.
In the Haymana Basin, Laffitteina bibensis Marie, is very frequently observed in the calciturbidites of the Yesilyurt Formation made up of shale-calciturbidites alternations and is interfingering with the Çaldag Formation.
The systematic samples, collected from the shales of the lower part of the Yesilyurt Formation where the limestone intercalations contain Laffitteina bibensis Marie in considerable amount, indicated the presence of Morozovella pseudobulloides and Morozovella trinidadensis planktic zones of Danian age. Therefore, it is clear that the age-span of Laffitteina bibensis Marie goes down into the Danian.
