Zubiri’s theory of sentient intelligence, called by himself noology, maintains that man is installed in reality by virtue of his own essence;
and that, therefore, contrary to what epistemologism thinks, it should not go through any path to reach that reality. Despite the fact that this installation has an irreversible metaphysical dimension, it also essentially has a dimension of freedom and creativity, which opens radically in at least three directions: the fictional, the perceptual, and the concept. It is within the framework of this freedom that this expression of “alternative facts” finds its place, without prejudging anything yet about its ethical or moral quality
