This work aims to bring some initial refections on therelationship between the balanced and healthy environment andthe efective realization of the dignity of the human person. Both thedignity of the human person and the right to the environment areprotected by the Constitution and are part of Fundamental Rights.The environment is a symbiosis of the environment with man, itsuse has to be sustainable so that the standards of societies andcultures ft into the risks of the environmental good being degraded.One of the principles protected by the Brazilian Federal Constitutionis the defense of the environment, since with the protection ofthe environment, ultimately, the very dignity of the human personis protected, as it provides better living conditions for all humanbeings. It is the role of the State, as a whole, to orient itself inorder to preserve the dignity of the individual, as well as to provideconditions for the dignity to be realized and, one of the main pointsfor the realization of this dignity is precisely the preservation of theenvironment. It is noted the importance of making the protection ofhuman beings and the environment compatible, and, for this reason,it is essential that the State, together with society, implement publicpolicies that can develop the environment in a way that there isan improvement in everyone’s quality of life, in accordance withthe provisions of the Federal Constitution. Thus, it appears that theprotected and balanced environment helps to guarantee the dignityof the human person

O presente trabalho tem, como objetivo, trazer algumasrefexões iniciais sobre a relação entre o meio ambiente equilibradoe saudável e, a concretização efetiva da dignidade da pessoahumana. Tanto a dignidade da pessoa humana, quanto o direitoao meio ambiente encontram-se resguardados pela Constituiçãoe fazem parte dos Direitos Fundamentais. O meio ambiente é umasimbiose do ambiente com o homem, o seu uso tem que ser deforma sustentável para que os padrões das sociedades e culturasenquadrem nos riscos do bem ambiental ser degradados. Um dosprincípios resguardados pela Constituição Federal brasileira é adefesa do meio ambiente, já que com a proteção do meio ambientese resguarda, em última análise, a própria dignidade da pessoahumana, pois propicia melhores condições de vida a todos os sereshumanos. É papel do Estado, como um todo, orientar-se de modoa preservar a dignidade do indivíduo, assim como, a dar condiçõespara que a dignidade possa ser efetivada e, um dos principais pontospara a efetivação dessa dignidade é justamente a preservaçãodo meio ambiente. Nota-se a importância em compatibilizar-se aproteção do ser humano e do meio ambiente, e, por esse motivo, torna-se imprescindível que o Estado, conjuntamente com asociedade, implemente políticas públicas que possam desenvolvero meio ambiente de forma que ocorra a melhoria na qualidade devida de todos, em conformidade com o disposto na ConstituiçãoFederal. Dessa forma verifca-se que o meio ambiente protegidoe equilibrado auxilia na garantia da dignidade da pessoa humana.
