Resumen de O elogio da ciência: A agronomia portuguesa no século XIX

In this text the author stresses the strong relationship between Portuguese agronomy and the sciences of nature. And she tries to find the different forms of this relationship in the three axes along which the last century agronomy developped - that is, the way it defined its own conception, the way it organized and guided its institutional mainstays and, finally, the way it assembled and prepared both techniques and technologies and presented them to the agriculture of the time.

Dans ce texte on souligne Ie rapport tres étroit que l'agronomie portugaise a noué au XIXe siêcle avec les sciences de la nature. Et on cherche les modalités d'un tel rapport sur les trois axes sur lesquels I'agronomie s'est dévelopée -sur l'axe de sa définition conceptuelle, sur celui de sa définition institutionelle et surtout sur celui de I'ensemble de techniques et de technologies qu'elle a mises au point et a offert à l'agriculture de son temps.
