  Presentamos una síntesis sobre la evolución del poblamiento en el territorio de Carthago Nova, entre los siglos ii a.C. y ii d.C.Durante el periodo tardorrepublicano se aprecia una notable dualidad entre las tierras del interior, estructuradas a partirde grandes oppida indígenas, y la costa, con una ocupación condicionada por la propia presencia de la ciudad y de los principales distritos mineros. A partir del cambio de era, con el cese o la ralentización de la explotación de los recursos mineros yel progresivo ocaso de los oppida, se sientan las bases de un nuevo modelo de organización y explotación del territorio, quese verá interrumpido hacia finales de la segunda centuria.

  We present a synthesis on the evolution of the settlement in the territory of Carthago Nova, between the ii century B.C.

  and ii century A.D. During the late republican period one can detect a marked duality between the lands of the interior, structured from large indigenous oppidum, and the coast, with an occupation conditioned by the very presence of the city itself and the main mining districts. From the era change, with the cessation or slowing down of the exploitation of mineral resources and the gradual decline of the oppidum, the foundations of a new model of organization and exploitation of the territory were laid down, which can be seen breaking through toward the end of the second century.

  Nous présentons une synthèse sur l’évolution de la population dans le territoire de Carthago Nova, entre le iie siècle avant et le iie siècle après J.-C. Pendant la période tardo-républicaine, les terres de l’intérieur, structurées à partir des grands oppida indigènes, se distinguent de la côte où le peuplement est conditionné par la présence de la ville et des principaux districts miniers. À partir du changement d’ère, avec l’arrêt ou le ralentissement de l’exploitation des ressources minières et le déclin progressif des oppida, s’établissent les bases d’un nouveau modèle d’organisation et d’exploitation du territoire qui sera interrompu vers la fin iie siècle.
