Resumen de Visión de la enfermería como profesión para y de mujeres

    La enfermería ha sido catalogada a lo largo del tiempo como una profesión eminentemente de mujeres, para el cuidado de las personas (sanas y/o enfermas), lo cual la vincula socialmente al sexo femenino. Haciendo un análisis de la profesión desde la visión del poder, en donde las relaciones entre las personas en un espacio de convivencia donde se desarrollan todos los acontecimientos de la vida humana, donde tienen lugar los discursos y las prácticas cotidianas, esta profesión aun esta relegada.

    Through the years nursery has been tagged as a profession eminently feminine, as a profession of care, is socially associated to women. Making an analysis of the profession from the perspective of power, in the space where the relationships between people take place, in the the coexistence where all the events of the human life are developed and the speeches and practices occur, this profession is still relegated. The subject of this research is to inquire the vision of the nurse, her professional incursion, as a feminine profession and socially subordinated, through a qualitative methodology, by interviews to six nursery professionals at the public and private service management ambit. About the findings, the nurses state that at Paraguay the production of new knowledge is not encouraged, as the new generation of professionals is not motivated nor instructed to undertake investigations in the nursery field, like caring methods, new equipment and supplies or other aspects linked to the profession, that would mean a breaktrough to the subordination
