• Resumen

  • The calcitic bodies- possible heterocysts, akinetes, hormogonia and hormocysts- of some fossil Cyanophyta taxa are described. Mode of preservation, morphology, diagenesis process and the geological importance are also mentioned. Systematic position of genera Alpinella Dragastan, 1988, Ortonella Garwood, 1914, Scotlandella Dragastan, 1985, and especially the fossil statute of genus Rivularia (Roth) Agardh are clarified.

    Antonella perconigi n. sp. and Alpinella n.sp. of the Family Scytonemataceae (Cyanophyta) are described.
