Resumen de Incidencia de neumonía en pacientes mayores de 60 años

  Objetivo: Diagnosticar la incidencia de neumonía en pacientes mayores de 60 años de edad que ingresan al área de Medicina Interna del Hospital General Puyo. Método: Descriptiva observacional. Resultados: Los factores de riesgo de la neumonía, señalando que el 32% han presentado tabaquismo, el 25% alcoholismo, el 18% diabetes, el 11% enfermedades inmunológicas, el 7% son hipertensos y el 7% restante presentan enfermedades cardiovasculares. Conclusión: Se observó que los factores de riesgo con más prevalencia que influyen en el desarrollo de la neumonía en personas mayores de 60 años de edad y que han sido atendidas en el Área de Medicina Interna del Hospital General Puyo, fueron el alcoholismo y el tabaquismo, considerando que este tipo de hábitos no son favorables en la salud de la persona.

  Objective: To diagnose the incidence of pneumonia in patients over 60 years of age admitted to the Internal Medicine area of Hospital General Puyo. Methods: Descriptive observational study. Results: The risk factors of pneumonia, indicating that 32% have presented smoking, 25% alcoholism, 18% diabetes, 11% immunological diseases, 7% are hypertensive and the remaining 7% present cardiovascular diseases. Conclusion: It was observed that the most prevalent risk factors that influence the development of pneumonia in people over 60 years of age and who have been treated in the Internal Medicine Area of the General Hospital Puyo were alcoholism and smoking, considering that this type of habits are not favorable for the health of the person.
