  Objetivo: Analizar la histerectomía en la obstetricia y las complicaciones antes y después del embarazo. Método: El método utilizado en esta investigación es la revisión bibliográfica y sistemática, observacional y retrospectiva sobre factores asociados a incidencias en pacientes histerectomizadas, utilizando fuentes como Dialnet, Scielo y otros recursos. Resultados y conclusiones: Se han encontrado varios factores de riesgo para la aparición de enfermedades infecciosas después de la histerectomía, entre ellos, la presencia de secreciones vaginales antes de la cirugía, detección de inflamación en citología. El uso de un DIU cervical y vaginal, consistente con la patogenia descrita en la literatura médica, y se puede modificar y prevenir antes de la cirugía.
