  Objetivo: Analizar la raíz bifurcada en caninos inferiores a través de la cone beam computed tomography. Método: Descriptivo documental con una revisión bibliográfica de 15 articulos. Conclusión: El microscopio de hoy permite ver hasta los detalles más pequeños, permite ver una ubicación, trayectoria y relación precisas con las estructuras anatómicas próximas al canal mandibular, lo que es de gran ayuda para planificar cualquier cirugía en la región mandibular al reducir el riesgo de dañar el nervio alveolar inferior. Permite visualizar la dimensión radial, así como el número de conductores y su fisiología en tres dimensiones, haciéndolo aplicable en casos de morfología compleja.

  Objective: To analyze the bifurcated root in lower canines through cone beam computed tomography. Method: Descriptive documentary with a bibliographic review of 15 articles. Conclusion: Today's microscope allows to see even the smallest details, it allows to see a precise location, trajectory and relationship with the anatomical structures close to the mandibular canal, which is of great help to plan any surgery in the mandibular region by reducing the risk of damaging the inferior alveolar nerve. It allows visualization of the radial dimension, as well as the number of conductors and their physiology in three dimensions, making it applicable in cases of complex morphology.
