    La conspiración del silencio (CS) es una práctica que todavía está bastante presente en nuestro medio, aunque existan aspectos éticos y legales que justifican que se evite dentro de los posible. Los motivos que nos pueden inducir a esta situación son múltiples, pero se pueden agrupar en 7 categorías. Consideramos interesante conocer todos estos aspectos y las actuaciones que podemos realizar para prevenirla y reducirla, principalmente basados en una buena comunicación con el paciente y la familia.

    The conspiracy of silence (CS) is a practice that is still quite present in our environment, although there are ethical and legal aspects that justify its avoidance whenever possible. The reasons that can lead us to this situation are multiple, but they can be grouped into 7 categories. We consider it interesting to know all these aspects and the actions that we can take to prevent and reduce it, mainly based on good communication with the patient and the family.
