The paper focuses on the relationship between best interest(s) of the child and parental responsability, introduced by filiation reform in place of parental authority.
The interest of the child is a core theme of family law and it has, ideed, become crucial to unfold its multifaceted meaning. In this perspective, the contribution of European Court of human rights has provided relevant insights.
The issues of loss and suspension from parental responsibility are investigated also regarding the procedural aspect.
Finally, it will be analysed the role of cross-border disputes between parents, which unfortunately has acquired more and more relevance, nowadays.
