This article analizes the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
The author underlines how this Convetion marks a new stage in the process relating the evolution of the concept of disability, which took place within the framework - and thanks to - the United Nations and others international organizations, such as the World Health Organizatione, the Council of Europe and the European Union.
The Convention, in fact, contains, specific rights addressed to disabled which give an added value to the protection of the fundamental rights of these persons.
