    Hoy en día aún se sigue evidenciado que la igualdad de género y la participación de la mujer sigue siendo limitada en los diferentes ámbitos, pese a sus logros y avances que ellas han ido alcanzo gracias a su esfuerzo y perseverancia, considerando así en investigar el Rol de la mujer en la Gestión de Riesgos en las diferentes instituciones públicas del Casco Urbano del Cantón Guaranda. La Gestión de Riesgos en la actualidad juega un papel muy importante tanto en la sociedad como en las instituciones públicas y privadas, considerándose un eje transversal en la planificación del desarrollo, buscando garantizar el bienestar de toda la población y la conservación y protección de los bienes inmuebles ya sean de un patrimonio cultural o natural frente cualquier tipo de amenaza y riesgo de origen natural y antrópico.

    Planteando así un enfoque de investigación cualitativo, mismo que ayudó a conocer y categorizar el rol de la mujer en la Gestión de Riesgos; el cual se lo realizo bajo la metodología Delphi y la teoría fundamentada en los datos que a través de la aplicación de encuestas, entrevistas y visitas in situ, se pudo identificar que aún en las instituciones públicas del casco urbano de Guaranda no existe una inserción de la temática de Gestión de Riesgos como corresponde en sus diferentes fases,  por ende la participación de la mujer es limitada pese a su gran aporte que brinda para el desarrollo y como no en el área de Gestión de Riesgos.

    Today it is still evident that gender equality and the participation of women remains limited in the different areas, despite their achievements and advances that they have achieved thanks to their effort and perseverance, thus considering in investigating the Role of women in Risk Management in the different public institutions of the Urban Area of ​​the Guaranda Canton. Risk Management currently plays a very important role both in society and in public and private institutions, considering it a transversal axis in development planning, seeking to guarantee the well-being of the entire population and the conservation and protection of assets. properties, whether cultural or natural heritage, against any type of threat and risk of natural and anthropic origin.

    Thus proposing a qualitative research approach, which helped to know and categorize the role of women in Risk Management; which was carried out under the Delphi methodology and the theory based on the data that through the application of surveys, interviews and on-site visits, it was possible to identify that even in the public institutions of the urban area of ​​Guaranda there is no insertion of the theme of Risk Management as it corresponds in its different phases, therefore the participation of women is limited despite their great contribution to development and of course in the area of ​​Risk Management.
