    We have written this study based on the private correspondence between the two personalities that head the title. The consultation of the personal fund of Andreu Bestard, facilitated thanks to the kind generosity of his daughter Joana Maria, has made it possible to articulate this work focused on the promotion of the Santa Maria del Camí culture in the years in which Bestard was the municipal representative. His old friendship with Miquel Dole and the reciprocal interest in the subject allowed the flourishing of many initiatives and activities.

    Hem redactat aquest estudi a partir de la correspondència privada entre les dues personalitats que encapçalen el títol. La consulta del fons personal d'Andreu Bestard, facilitada gracies a l'amable generositat de la seva filla Joana Maria, ha permès articular aquest treball centrat en l'impuls de la cultura santamariera en els anys que Bestard fou representant municipal. La seva antiga amistat amb Miquel Dolç i l’interès recíproc per la matèria permeté el floriment de multitud d'iniciatives i activitats.
