    Aquestes aportacions al poblament antic de Santa Maria del Camí es basen en l’observació i la prospecció del territori cercant les restes prehistòriques, romanes i àrabs. Per ala prehistòria analitza l'espai geogràfic del terme municipal i en particular els camins antics, comparant-ho amb resultats i conclusions d'altres estudis arqueològics que s'han fet a la nostra illa. Per a l’època romana es recerquen les línies de la centuriació del PIa i del Raiguer, proposada per J. Cardell i M. Orfila. Per a l’època àrab es centra en la recerca de la ubicació de l'antiga alqueria Mahuya, que ens consta que estava on l'actual vila de Santa Maria.

    These contributions to the ancient settlement of Santa Maria del Camf are based on archaeological observation and prospecting of its territory, in order to find prehistoric, Roman and Arab remains. In researching the prehistoric remains, the geographical area of the municipality, particularly the ancient paths, has been analysed and compared to the results and conclusions of other archaeological studies that have been conducted so far on our island. In order to look for the Roman remains, the lines of the Roman centuriation, which were proposed by J. Cardell and M. Orfila, are followed and explored. Finally, the findings for the Arab era are focused on exploring and finding the location of the ancient farmhouse Mahuya, which actually proves that its position coincides with the location of the current town of Santa Maria.
