    La malformación aneurismática de la vena de Galeno es definida como un shunt arteriovenoso congénito no hereditario, originándose durante la embriogénesis entre las semanas6 y 11; se caracteriza por la presencia de arterias dilatadas en la línea media.El tratamiento endovascular ha demostrado ser una opción segura y altamente eficaz ante una patología congénita que hasta unas décadas atrás causaba altos índices de morbimortalidad infantil (EM VGM).

    Aneurysmal malformation of the Galen vein is defined as a non-hereditary congenital arteriovenous shunt, originating during embryogenesis between weeks6 and 11; it is characterized by the presence of dilated arteries in the midline.
