    El artículo se inserta en el ámbito de la filosofía de la religión y está sustentando en los planteamientos de Abraham Heschel, notable filósofo y rabino que fue asesor de Luther King. Partiendo de los fundamentos propuestos por Heschel se expone la relación entre la existencia del misterio y los evidentes límites de la cognición humana en lo que refiere a su indagación de lo absoluto. En tal sentido, desvelar la pequeñez humana permite concebir que, más que creer, lo que cabe es asombrarse. En el texto se alude que el misterio conduce a la evidencia de lo inefable. En esa óptica, la filosofía juzga los límites de la religión, pero no debiera dejar de percibir los suyos con respecto a la vivencia de lo espiritual.

    The article is inserted in the field of the philosophy of religion and is based on the ideas of Abraham Heschel, a notable philosopher and rabbi who was an adviser to Luther King. Startingfrom the foundations proposed by Heschel, this paper explores the relationship between the existence of the mystery and the evident limits of human cognition in relation to its investigation of the absolute. In this sense, revealing human smallness allowsus to conceive that, more than believing, what is possible is to be amazed. This paper shows that the mystery leads to the evidence of the ineffable. Philosophy judges the limits of religion, but it should not fail to perceive its own limits regarding the experience of the spiritual.
