Acercamiento musical y pedagógico a las vidas de Catalina Berroa, Lico Jiménez y Julio Cueva Díaz

    Abordar acontecimientos culturales importantes de la ciudad donde vivimos, ocurridos en épocas pasadas constituye un reto y desafío en los tiempos modernos que vivimos cuando desde la panorámica musical nacional e internacional proliferan una inmensa cantidad de compositores e intérpretes quienes con su forma de hacer música y su proyección temperamental en la escena acaparan el gusto de una gran mayoría donde un elevado por ciento está representada por adolescentes y jóvenes, ávidos consumidores de las melodías, ritmos y expresiones bailables que se difunden por las agencias responsables de la difusión musical donde no siempre lo difundido aunque goce de mayoritaria aceptación no es compatible con los códigos de calidad y valores éticos y estéticos que defiende nuestra sociedad socialista. Lo planteado anteriormente constituye una de las causas para que las nuevas generaciones no muestren interés y preocupación por conocer la obra musical de muchos compositores e intérpretes de su localidad que en tiempos pretéritos consumaron una labor cultural de extrema valía para honra y gloria del patrimonio musical de la ciudad.

    El presente trabajo expone la labor musical y pedagógica emprendida por los músicos trinitarios Catalina Berroa Ojeda, José Manuel Jiménez Berroa y Julio Cueva Díaz, destacados músicos de la localidad quienes dejaron un legado cultural de singular valía para el patrimonio musical de la nación y que desafortunadamente no es del conocimiento de la mayoría los habitantes de la villa.

    To approach cultural important events of the city where we live, happened in last epochs it constitute a challenge and challenge in the modern times through that we live when from the musical national and international panoramic one they proliferate an immense quantity of composers and interpreters who with his way of doing music and his temperamental projection in the scene monopolize the taste of a great majority where a high per cent is represented by teen and young, eager consumers of the melodies, paces and dance expressions who spread for the agencies persons in charge of the musical diffusion where not always the spread though possession of majority acceptance is not compatible with the codes of quality and ethical and aesthetic values that defends our socialist company. The raised previously constitutes one of the reasons in order that the new generations do not show interest and worry for know the musical work of many composers and interpreters of his locality that in past times consumaron a cultural labor of extreme value for honor and glory of the musical heritage of the city.

    The present work there exposes the musical and pedagogic labor undertaken by the musicians trinitarios Catalina Berroa Ojeda, Jose Manuel Jiménez Berroa and Julio Cueva Díaz, out-standing musicians of the locality who left a cultural legacy of singular value for the musical heritage of the nation and who unfortunately are not of the knowledge of the majority the inhabitants of the villa.
