Resumen de Transnationalism and the boundaries of citizenship
This paper makes a normative reflection on the concepts of citizenship and political equality starting from a qualitative research on the Romanian community in Spain. It presents how practices of citizenship emerge at the local and transnational level and inquires how we should conceive new forms of political representation and participation which pursue the political equality ideal and at the same time reflect the multiple and overlapping citizenship spaces.
