La línea sin reposo, catálogo de arte predinástico, es un trabajo literario del académico y crítico de arte colombiano Efrén Giraldo (2016) en conjunto con el artista visual Jorge Marín. El libro es un catálogo de artistas cuyo margen de vida y producción se ubica entre los años 1946 y 2213 en mundo distópico, ya que la tierra se muestra como un espacio improductivo, la naturaleza solo existe como creación plástica y son posibles los viajes interplanetarios. En este artículo, mediante la identificación de los recursos narrativos desplegados por el autor, se plantea como objetivo principal analizar cómo en un juego entre realidad y ficción que involucra imágenes y texto, se conforma un archivo de artistas del pasado, erigido a partir de pistas que deben ser descifradas por el lector. Estas pistas remiten al arte occidental moderno, regido por la idea del arte por el arte, y a otro posmoderno, en el que se requiere que el público complete y encuentre el sentido encarnado de las obras (Danto, 1994). Luego, observamos que, en el libro, usando también la estrategia dialógica de interacción entre palabras e imágenes, se configura un corpus de artistas ficticios, los cuales llevan al extremo las prácticas o las ideas estéticas de artistas reales. A través de estos recursos, retomando la idea de archivo de Derrida, aquí mostramos cómo esta obra de la literatura contemporánea erige un archivo del absurdo y el equívoco, desplegado desde la ironía y el humor para llevar a los lectores a repensar los límites del arte actual y la pequeña línea que separa lo estético y lo novedoso de lo monstruoso e inhumano. Finalmente, mostramos que el texto deconstruye el museo, ironiza la historia y critica a la crítica de arte, logrando, de esa forma, instaurar la literatura como lugar de reflexión y cuestionamiento de la filosofía del arte y las prácticas contemporáneas.

La línea sin reposo, catálogo de arte predinástico, is a literary work by the Colombian academic Efrén Giraldo, with the visual artist Jorge Marín. The book is a catalog of artists whose range of life and production is done between the years 1946 and 2213 in a dystopian world, because the earth is shown as an unproductive space, nature only exists as a plastic creation and interplanetary travel is possible. In this article, through the identification of the narrative resources deployed by the author, it is analyzed how is created an archive. In a game between reality and fiction that involves images and text, is built an archive of artists of the past whit clues that must be deciphered by the reader. These clues refer to modern western art, ruled by the idea of art for art, and to another postmodern one, in which the audience is required to complete and find the «embodied meaning» of the works (Danto 1994). Then, in the book, also using the dialogic strategy between words and images, a corpus of fictitious artists is configured, which take the aesthetic practices or ideas of real artists to the extreme. Through these resources, taking up Derrida’s idea of the archive, we show how this work constitutes an archive of absurdity and mistaken, created whit irony and humor to lead readers to rethink the limits of current art and the small line that separates the aesthetic and original from the monstrous and inhuman. Finally, we show that the text deconstructs the museum, ironizes history and criticizes art criticism, thereby establishing literature as a place for reflection and questioning of the philosophy of art and contemporary plastic practices.
