Los cuatro factores de creación de la riqueza en una economía han sido siempre la tierra, el trabajo, el capital y el conocimiento, pero la importancia relativa de cada uno de ellos ha variado considerablemente con el tiempo. La primera publicación oficial de un informe corporativo del capital intelectual en el mundo fue el modelo Skandia Navigator en 1994, donde el origen del Capital intelectual de Skandia Navigator era un intento de visualizar el valor oculto, en lugar de contabilizar intangibles. Así las investigaciones del capital intelectual han ido en ascendencia hasta convertirse en una comunidad mundial de estudio sobre el mismo. The four factors of wealth creation in an economy have always been land, labor, capital and knowledge, but the relative importance of each of them has varied considerably over time. The first official publication of a corporate report on intellectual capital in the world was the Skandia Navigator model in 1994, where the origin of the intellectual capital of Skandia Navigator was an attempt to visualize the hidden value, rather than accounting for intangibles. Thus the investigations of intellectual capital have gone in ancestry to become a worldwide community of study on it. This article is a contrast of research on the emergence and conceptualization of intellectual capital and its components.
