Resumen de El cine de Pedro Almodóvar: identidades, sexualidades y referencias artísticas

Este artículo analiza los largometrajes Carne trémula y La ley del deseo a la luz de la teoría del Erotismo de Bataille, y las diferentes identidades y sexualidades que se dan en el cine de Pedro Almodóvar como son Todo sobre mi madre o Entre tinieblas. El principal objetivo es acercarse al cine de dicho director conociendo los códigos que utiliza para tratar el deseo, la pasión y la sexualidad. Tenemos que entenderlo en clave del melodrama llevado al exceso. Además, a modo de arbotante en el análisis, utilizaremos referentes literarios como las obras de Jean Cocteau, Manuel Puig, Paloma Pedrero y Maribel Lázaro.

This article analyzes the feature films Carne trémula and La ley del Deseo in the shadow of Bataille's theory of Eroticism and the different identities and sexualities that occur in Pedro Almodóvar's cinema such as Todo sobre mi madre or Entre tinieblas. What is sought is to approach Almodóvar's cinema with the techniques he uses to treat desire, passion and sexuality. We have to understand his work in terms of melodrama leading to excess. Furthermore, as a flying buttress of the analysis, we will use literary references such as the works of Jean Cocteau, Manuel Puig, Paloma Pedrero and Maribel Lázaro
