    Esta investigación cualitativa analiza, con perspectiva de género, los proyectos de vida a corto, mediano y largo plazo de estudiantes universitarias de una institución de educación superior pública en el sureste mexicano. El trabajo rescata testimonios y narrativas que muestran el contexto familiar en el que fueron socializadas, la elección de la carrera y los referentes vitales que influyeron en su decisión para ingresar, permanecer y concluir la licenciatura o posgrado. Los resultados muestran jóvenes con proyectos muy diferentes a los de sus madres y abuelas, exponen metas claras y expectativas elevadas respecto a su autonomía.

    This qualitative research analyzes, with a gender perspective, the short, medium and long-term life projects of university students from a public higher education institution in the Mexican southeast. The work rescues testimonies and narratives that show the family context in which they were socialized, the choice of career and the vital references that influenced their decision to enter, stay and complete the undergraduate or graduate degree. The results show young people with projects that are very different from those of their mothers and grandmothers, they expose clear goals and high expectations regarding their autonomy.
