Espacio habitado y espacio practicado: leer la ciudad desde Ricoeur y Certeau

    Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar la articulación entre los conceptos espacio habitado y espacio practicado en el ámbito del pensamiento de Paul Ricoeur y de Michel de Certeau. Se busca responder a siguiente cuestión: ¿en qué sentido el espacio habitado y practicado constituyen el tejido de la narrativa? Se mencionan, a partir del "aquí y ahora" del acontecimiento humano en el espacio habitado, las posibilidades de nuevas lecturas de las figuras de la sociedad contemporánea. El espacio habitado, por ser el lugar del espacio practicado, exige, por medio del recorrido del tiempo vivido de cada persona, una lectura posible de las acciones practicadas. Se muestra que la acción humana practicada es comprendida por la estructura narrativa. En conclusión, la narrativa es la estructura que ofrece las condiciones para la comprensión de las acciones practicadas y que remiten al tiempo narrado y al espacio practicado, principalmente en los contextos que la ciudad adquiere en los cambios derivados del ciberespacio y de la globalización.

    This paper deals with how the concepts of inhabited space and practiced space are articulated in Paul Ricoeur’s and Michel Certeau’s thought. The purpose is to answer the following question: in what sense are the inhabited space and the practiced space part of the narrative’s fabric? Possibilities of new readings of contemporary society’s thinkers appear from the “here and now” of the inhabited space by human events. Inhabited space, as the place of the practiced space, requires –through the time lived by each person–a reading from the practiced actions. It is stated that the human action that is practiced is comprehended by the narrative structure. In conclusion, this paper will argue that narrative is the structure that provides the conditions for understanding the practiced actions as referring to the narrated time and the practiced space, mainly in the context that the city acquires due to the changes arising from the cyberspace and globalization.
