El siglo XIX trajo consigo una nueva forma de ver el texto dramático, ya no solo con la introducción del movimiento romántico, sino también en el sentido escénico, siendo los tratados de declamación una constante durante todo el siglo. Por ello, el presente artículo indaga en dicha perspectiva mediante una obra que logró el aplauso y alabanza del público durante su estreno: Rienzi el Tribuno (1876) con Elisa Boldún al frente de dicha interpretación. Un drama histórico escrito por Rosario de Acuña (1850-1923), donde texto y escenario configuran un mismo arte.

The 19th century brought about a new vision of the dramatic text, not just because of the introduction of Romanticism but also in the scenic sense, being the declamation’s treatises a constant during the entire century. The present article will investigate this perspective with one text which reached the audience's applause and praise: Rienzi el Tribuno (1876) with Elisa Boldún at the forefront of this interpretation. A historical drama written by Rosario de Acuña (1850-1923) where text and scene comprise the same art.
