    En este ensayo se abordan los avances y desafíos de la investigación e innovación educativa en el contexto del Plan Nacional de Lucha contra la Pobreza y para el Desarrollo Humano (2022-2026) implementado en todo el país, para la mejora de los procesos de gestión pedagógica y calidad del sector educación. Se destaca, en primer momento, el desarrollo de la innovación e investigación educativa desde el quehacer de los protagonistas, enfatizando en la importancia que el Gobierno de Reconciliación y Unidad Nacional (GRUN) ha dado en los planes quinquenales, agregando las acciones de los docentes desde la Red de Investigadores Educativos de Nicaragua (RIENIC) por medio de las acciones investigativas. Asimismo, se abordan las iniciativas para desarrollar habilidades en la práctica de la investigación y el diseño de estrategias innovadoras, que contribuyen al fortalecimiento de los procesos de aprendizaje, haciendo énfasis en la necesidad de incentivar la implementación y publicación de investigaciones de parte de funcionarios públicos del Ministerio de Educación (MINED), a fin de que se actualicen en manejo de tecnologías para aplicarlas en el aula. Por consiguiente, se destaca el papel de la Televisión Educativa como medio de innovación en la educación, la cual se consolida como una plataforma influyente desde la infancia y colabora con los procesos de aprendizaje. Se exponen los principales desafíos que se presentan para el MINED en el ámbito de investigación e innovación educativa. De esta manera, este escrito se presenta como un aporte teórico, documental e histórico, a través de un análisis situacional de las investigaciones y la innovación educativa del país y del Sistema Nacional de Educación.

    This essay addresses the advances and challenges of educational research and innovation in the context of the National Plan for the Fight against Poverty and for Human Development (2022-2026) implemented throughout the country, for the improvement of pedagogical management process and quality of the education sector. First, the development of educational innovation and research is highlighted from the work of the protagonists, emphasizing the importance that the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity (GRUN, for its acronyms in Spanish) has given in the five-year plans, adding the actions of the teachers carried out by the Network of Educational Researchers of Nicaragua (RIENIC, for its acronyms in Spanish) through research actions. Similarly, initiatives to develop skills in the practice of research and the design of innovative strategies that contribute to the strengthening of learning processes are addressed, emphasizing to encourage the design and publication of research by public servants in the Ministry of Education (MINED, for its acronyms in Spanish), so that they are updated in the use of technologies to apply them in the classroom. The text also highlights the role of educational television as a means of innovation, which is consolidated as an influential platform from childhood and contributes to learning processes. The main challenges for MINED in the field of educational research and innovation are also presented. Thus, this work is presented as a theoretical, documentary and historical contribution, through a situational analysis of research and educational innovation in the country and the National Education System. Consequently, the need to strengthen pedagogical practice through the generation of results for decision-making.
