  • As human resource development programs expand in organizations, speech communication students are interested in communication training and consulting as a career option. This article argues that training communication trainers needs to be addressed within the context of the consultation process. The article addresses the basic issues involved in designing a college course on communication training and consulting, including course structure, major assignments, and ethical considerations.
