    Este artículo se propone realizar un análisis de la película The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975), considerándola como una parodia camp del género cinematográfico de terror y de las películas de horror de las décadas anteriores. El objetivo no es realizar un estudio exhaustivo de las múltiples referencias culturales presentes en la película. Por el contrario, el artículo se centrara en figuras clave del imaginario de la ciencia ficción y el fantástico, como el alien, el vampiro, Frankenstein, el científico malvado, el cyborg, los superhéroes y King Kong, entre otras, para considerar cómo The Rocky Horror Picture Show las resignifica desde una perspectiva queer que reivindica al monstruo como el lugar de la abyección sexual y, en este sentido, de una verdadera liberación.

    This paper intends to analize the movie The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975), as a camp parody of the horror films of previous decades. The intention is not to make an exhaustive study of the many cultural references present in the film but to focus on key characters of the fantasy and sci-fi film´s imaginary, as the alien, the vampire, Frankenstein, the evil scientist, the cyborg, the superheroes and King Kong, among others, in order to consider how The Rocky Horror Picture Show redefines these characters from a queer perspective that claims the monster as the site of sexual abjection and in this sense, a true liberation.
