Resumen de Comunidades tradicionais e sindicatos em conflito com Estado e capital em Barcarena (PA)

  This article presents the historical process of the organisation and resistance of traditional communities and workers residing in the city of Barcarena(PA) in the face of the violation of their rights, starting in the 1980’s,that arose from the implantation of an industrial-port-urban complex by the State in the exercising of its function to territorialise capital in the region. The methodologies adopted were a bibliographic review and participative observation during the public hearings that took placeonlegal actions on licensing and environmental disastersin 2017 and 2018. It concludes that, in the context of there structuring of production, the protagonism of traditional communities and workers and their contradictions made it possible to forge a social and political organisation that strengthenedthe resistance to the advance of “big capital” in Amazonia.

  Neste artigo apresenta-se o processo histórico de organização e resistência de comunidades tradicionais e de trabalhadores residentes no município de Barcarena (PA) frente à violação de seus direitos decorrentes da implantação de complexo industrial-portuário-urbanístico, iniciado na década de 1980, pelo Estado no exercício de ação funcional à territorialização do Capital na região. Como metodologia adotou-se a revisão bibliográfica e observações durante as audiências públicas que ocorreram nos anos 2017 e 2018 em processos de licenciamento e desastres ambiental. Conclui-se que, no contexto da restruturação produtiva, o protagonismo de comunidades tradicionais e trabalhadores e suas contradições possibilitaram forjar uma organização social e política que fortalece a resistência frente ao avanço do grande capital na Amazônia.
