  The present work aims to investigate the ontological aspect of precariousness in Frames War under the light of meaning that Judith Butler attributed to ontology. In a way, Butler does not attribute ontology to a priori denotations. Thus, despite the notion of ontology seem contrary to post-structuralism positions assumed by philosopher, will be made explicit that there is no slightest indication of contradiction with the post-structuralist assertions. Thus, by paying attention to the ontological aspect of precariousness, perceiving it as an important argumentation tool for the thinker, it is intended to establish the Frames War as a work endowed with conceptual and philosophical importance, since it integrates several themes of philosophy, namely: epistemology, ethics and ontology.

  O presente trabalho visa perquirir o aspecto ontológico da precariedade em Quadros de Guerra, à luz do significado que Judith Butler atribui à ontologia. De certa maneira, Butler não atribui à ontologia denotações a priori. Desse modo, apesar da noção de ontologia parecer contrária às posições pós-estruturalistas assumidas pela filósofa, será explicitado que não há o menor indício de contradição para com as assertivas pós-estruturalistas. Assim, ao atentar para o aspecto ontológico da precariedade, percebendo-o como uma importante ferramenta de argumentação para a pensadora, pretende-se estabelecer os Quadros de Guerra como obra dotada de importância conceitual e filosófica, uma vez que integra vários temas da filosofia, a saber: epistemologia, ética e ontologia.
