    Paul Ricoeur (1913–2005), French philosopher who conducted studies on the problematic of philosophical hermeneutics. In his work O si-me como um outro (1990), composed of ten studies, Ricoeur develops a hermeneutic method that dialogues with both interpretation and reflection. The purpose of this article is to approach the Third Study entitled A Semantics of Action without an Agent, in order to demonstrate language as action, that is, as a possibility of problematizing the questions who? what? it's because?. Therefore, it is intended to emphasize that Ricoeurian hermeneutics contributes not only to the knowledge of oneself, but also to the knowledge of the other. This other is the very subject who dialogues, that is, who speaks, who narrates, who feels and who, when interpreting the other, returns to himself.

    Paul Ricoeur (1913–2005), filósofo francês que realizou estudos sobre a problemática da hermenêutica filosófica. Em sua obra O si-mesmo como um outro (1990), composta por dez estudos, Ricoeur desenvolve uma método hermenêutico que dialoga tanto com a interpretação quanto com a reflexão. O objetivo do presente artigo consiste em realizar uma abordagem do Terceiro Estudo intitulado Uma Semântica da Ação sem Agente, a fim de demonstrar a linguagem como ação, ou seja, como possibilidade de problematizar as perguntas quem? o quê? e por quê?. Portanto, pretende-se enfatizar que a hermenêutica ricoeuriana contribui não só para o conhecimento de si, mas também para o conhecimento do outro. Esse outro é o próprio sujeito que dialoga, isto é, que fala, que narra, que sente e que, ao interpretar o outro, volta para si mesmo.
