    La cantidad cada vez mayor de información disponible en las plataformas de medios digitales, obliga a algunos consumidores de medios a limitarse a hojear el contenido sin tener tiempo para verificar su exactitud y autenticidad (Aspach, 2017). Esta simplificación del procesamiento de las noticias podría también disminuir la capacidad de sus consumidores para identificar las falsas y simplemente confiar en las fuentes selectivas de los medios de comunicación que perciben como creíbles. En este artículo pretendemos analizar la vinculación existente entre la sobrecarga de información recibida y la identificación de noticias falsas, así como el consumo compulsivo de noticias negativas.

    The increasing amount of information available on digital media platforms forces some media consumers to simply skim content without having time to verify its accuracy and authenticity (Aspach, 2017). This simplification of news processing might also diminish the ability of their consumers to identify fake news and simply trust the selective media sources they perceive as credible. In this article, we aim to analyse the link between the aforementioned information overload and the perception of fake news and the selective and compulsive consumption of negative news.
