    This article puts forth a project implemented in a rural community, with the aim of, through a theater workshop, getting this community involved, collaborating, valuing and encouraging the participation of its elements so that they may be the builders of their own change. For this purpose, the action-research methodology was used, and the results show that the majority of workshop participants were unanimous in considering that the learning attained through it enabled them to experience a process of change by discovering themselves individually and collectively and, simultaneously, by becoming more creative, interventionist, responsible and preservers of cultural values.

    Neste artigo dá-se a conhecer um projeto implementado numa comunidade rural, com o intuito de, através de uma oficina de teatro, conseguir que essa comunidade se envolva, colabore, valorize e encoraje a participação dos seus elementos, por forma a serem construtores da sua própria mudança. Para o efeito, recorreu-se à metodologia de investigação-ação e os resultados evidenciam que a maioria dos participantes da oficina foi unânime ao considerar que as aprendizagens nela conseguidas lhes possibilitaram viver um processo de mudança ao se descobrirem individual e coletivamente e em simultâneo tornarem-se mais criativos, interventivos, responsáveis e preservadores dos valores culturais.
