    Tras las elecciones norteamericanas de 2016 y el escándalo en torno a Facebook y Cambridge Analytica en 2018, la UE y varios de sus miembros impulsaron iniciativas de lucha contra la desinformación. Este trabajo se centra en un instrumento, la “Comisión permanente contra la desinformación”, creado por el Gobierno de España en 2020. Se analizan sus antecedentes, los debates parlamentarios y sus primeros trabajos, así como instrumentos similares a nivel europeo y norteamericano. Y se plantea la hipótesis de que ese tipo de herramienta pueda no ser una solución adecuada al problema.

    Following the 2016 US elections and the scandal around Facebook and Cambridge Analytica in 2018, the EU and several of its members promoted initiatives to fight disinformation. This paper focuses on one instrument, the "Permanent Commission against disinformation", created by the Government of Spain in 2020. It analyzes its background, parliamentary debates and early work, as well as similar instruments in Europe and USA. And it is hypothesized that this type of tool may not be an adequate solution to the problem.
