    Este trabajo surge de la necesidad de investigar el paisaje como motor de producción artística en España en la contemporaneidad. Desde los años 60 el arte centra su atención en los espacios naturales, abordándose discursos de arraigo/desarraigo, de carácter introspectivo/contemplativo, que cuestionan políticas fronterizas, de activismo ecológico y de defensa del patrimonio rural. El término paisaje, como el constructo social que es, necesita ser enmarcado para poder observarse. Se plantea la hipótesis del paisaje como ente generador de identidades, de fronteras, de territorio susceptible de legislación y reflexión. El paisaje, dentro de ser un constructo social, es un generador de pensamiento.

    This work arises from the need to investigate the landscape as an engine of artistic production in Spain in contemporary times. Since the 1960s, art has focused its attention on natural spaces, addressing discourses of roots and uprooting, of an introspective and contemplative nature, that question border policies, ecological activism, and defense of rural heritage. Landscape term, as the social construct it is, needs to be framed in order to be observed. Landscape hypothesis is proposed as a generator of identities, borders, and territory susceptible to legislation and reflection. The landscape, within being a social construct, is a thought generator.

    This presentation arises from the need to investigate the landscape as the driving force behind artistic production in Spain from the 90s to the present. The reason for investigating the landscape comes from its continuous presence in the own work that has been created for more than a decade, either as a protagonist or as a conductor of discourse.In Preposition Landscape, discourses of rootedness / uprooting, of an introspective / contemplative nature, discourses that question border line political issues, sustainable ecological activism and defense of rural heritage are addressed, to name several examples.
